Nga kare-a-roto i te Maori

Kia Ora bloggers, this week is Maori language week so Kea is learning about Maori traditions and heritage. This time I went to a different workshop learning about feelings in Te Reo Maori. I was in Breakout Tahi with Whaea Sam. We learned some common feelings and how to respond to them. Whaea Sam created a google slideshow to help us learn how to pronounce feelings in Maori.

Today i have put together some slides to make a game. You have to match the feeling in Maori to its emoji. e.g: Hiamoe - You match that to sleepy. I have put the English captions below the emojis so its not hard to tell which emoji is which.

I hope you enjoyed the GIFs at the end. And remember to not use google translate.
