Today we had an amazing experience that no other school in Auckland had! We went to Sky city and we had an experience called “ All Blacks Experience”. We went to a building near the sky Tower . As we went into the building, We saw a portrait of all Blacks players. We were so amazed and excited at the same time. We walked into the escalator and went into the 2nd level to meet our tourist. We saw hoiho near the reception on the 2nd floor.
As we waited we had many activities such as colouring and word searches. We were also allowed to explore the places but not too far from our teacher, Whaea Ocea. Then a man approaches us and tells us to go with our tourist, Taura. She explained the rules to us and the expectations. As she was done, we followed her into the first room. She told us all of the artifacts and how much it means to the All Blacks Team.
We went from room to room Until we went to one of my favourite rooms. But before we went into that room, we went into our very own cinema. We watched a movie on a very olden day tv. Then our tourist wanted a volunteer. She chose Yon to volunteer to change the Channel for the tv. But then she kinda broke it. But then Taura told Yon to give it a big slap at the side. She did and then something amazing happened.
As she slapped it, the tv went from old and small to new and big! It was so cool. When we finished the film, we went into the game room. There were 2 different teams. Team 1 and team 2. I was in team 1. We had a series of different challenges and we had to work together. After we were done playing games we went into my favourite room! It was a room in which the team players for All Blacks just relax and think of the best instructions for their team. And we got to experience that.
We had our own Stalls/Cubby’s to sit in and think or either relax. On the screen in the stalls, there was a little video of all the All Blacks Players and how they made it into the team. It was fun and relaxing. It was one of my favourite rooms.
After all of the tours in all of the rooms, we went back to school. We thanked them for having us and left. It was so much fun experiencing what its like to be and All Black player. And that’s the end of my All Blacks Experience.
